Scene Thumbs
Heya,
Just a few quick scene thumbnails I put together last week. Hopefully I can get some more done this weekend. When my desk arrives I will be removing the gloves. (T-3 weeks)
Looking' good Aaron... defintely agree with Stu on the amount of contrast with the white. Have you tried starting out with a mid grey fill when you do environment pieces? And a tip I picked up from Manley's composition lecture was that a lot of the old masters used a 60/30/10 split with their values... so they would have 60 dark, 30% mid tones and only 10% highlights, or 60% mid, 10% dark and 30% light. Just some food for thought.
Starting with a mid grey fill might help actually thanks Sam!
I started with white you see... that may be my problem. I guess with white I can push equally in both tonal ranges, but with white I suppose I only have one direction.
Nice one Aaron, cool to get you started here too. Nice depth in your images, now do more!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you getting started. Keep practicing but i would say knock back the amount of white in your images.
